Crazy Pets

Yes, this is exactly what you think it is. The cat is giving the dog a bath. ??

Tubby by Bailey

This is what happens when you let a three-year-old add her own bubbles... They're so thick that at one point she had a two-foot crown on top of her head.

Play Time

We taught Bailey how to play bowling in the Wii. She loves it, and she's amazingly good for a three-year-old. We had to help at the beginning but by the end she was swinging on her own. We've played Mario Kart with her before, but with the split screens she gets confused at what she is actually controlling. We tried to teach her how to play golf after the bowling game, but she didn't want anything to do with it. Mommy and Daddy haven't played for months, we aren't as good as we used to be. Kind of embarrassing that our three-year-old can do almost as well as we can!

Baby Shelby's Room

We've had a busy day today. We hung the border and Daddy hung the curtain rod and valance. We're just about done with Shelby's room! Good thing too, a little under seven weeks to go until Christmas. I'm going to see what I can do about us having a soon-after-Christmas baby, she'll be about Bailey's size around then and I don't really want to carry her into 2009!

31 weeks!

Hello baby! Technically we aren't 31 weeks until tomorrow, but 30 6/7 weeks sounds funny to me. Shelby is 3 lbs 10 oz and about 18 inches long. As you can see her little cheeks are filling out like big sister's were. When Guy put the gel on her she started squirming and rolling around. I guess she didn't like it very much. She didn't like the wand either, she kept squirming under it. Then she had a fit when he cleaned the gel off my tummy, I guess she decided this was REALLY an invasion of space! We were just spying on her, what did she expect? :o) The nurse said my heartburn would mean lots of hair on her, we got to see some of it waving today. He said her perpetual hiccups were a sign of a mature nervous system and it didn't really bother her. Yeah, right. She goes crazy when she gets the hiccups, I can't believe they "don't bother her". We love you baby Shelby!

Happy Halloween!!

We had a great Halloween!!! Happy Halloween, Abby Cadabby!!! We went to the Trunk-or-Treat at Grandma's neighborhood (Grandma and Aunt Jenn were in Vegas, so we got to crash their party without them). Then we went to visit Steve and Kim (they weren't home), Uncle Jo, and Grandma Deena. We had such a fun Halloween!!!!

Baby Shelby's Room

Daddy went to pick up Baby Shelby's furniture with the moving van after we got Aunt Jenn unpacked. Daddy and Uncle Jared hauled it in, the dresser and the armoire were built but the crib came in a box. I was worried because the box had been walked all over, but the crib was fine. I can't say the same for the armoire, after they got the 212 lb monster up the stairs and finally into the house, we unpacked it to find this. I almost cried for them, it had obviously been dropped and the whole corner was smashed. The doors won't close right and the whole frame is off-balanced. Luckily the other pieces (the light ones, go figure) were fine. Aunt Jenn and Daddy spent last weekend painting in prep for the open house we had today. These are pics of the progress in Baby Shelby's room:

Warning: VERY VERY PINK

Lots of New Happenings!

Lots of things have been happening in our lives! Aunt Jenn came home and got to go see the baby with us. We didn't get very many good pictures, the 3D machine wasn't working. We got to see her profile and we can tell she's still a she, but that's about it. These are the only belly shots we have of this pregnancy. No, I'm not that big everywhere. Really, just the belly. Baby is doing great still, she loves to move and squirm. She's still really really low and can't reach my ribs. My stomach hurts and my hips hurt, but at least I can breathe!
